Buttercup Beauty Lounge is a self care studio in Cypress, Texas, built around airbrush spray tanning. LED teeth whitening and a range of self tanning body care products are also available.

Airbrush tan sessions take about 20 minutes. There are two spray tan styles, the Classic and the Rapid, and both are custom blended to each client's skin tone at $59 per session. The Classic is rinsed after 8 or more hours. The Rapid is rinsed after 1 to 4 hours, depending on how dark the client wants the tan. Both fully develop within 24 hours. The studio states that results last 7 to 10 days.

Clients are advised to book one to two days before an event, or two to three days before a wedding. Any mani/pedi, facial, waxing, or other appointments should be finished at least 24 hours before tanning. Jewelry should come off unless it is permanent. Men wear undergarments during sessions, and disposable ones are available on site. Clients should keep away from water, sweating, and tight clothing until their rinse time.

Pricing includes a $29 per month Unlimited Tans VIP Membership, which members can cancel at any time and which brings each spray tan to $29. Tan packs of 3 ($150) and 5 ($225) are also sold, and both expire six months after purchase and cannot be shared. Clients who bring a friend to a spray tan save $5 each. Groups of three or more receive discounts, and groups of five or more must text to schedule.

LED teeth whitening takes about 30 minutes and uses a dental grade, peroxide based whitening gel. The studio states it can whiten teeth by up to 12 or more shades. It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding clients or for children under 14. Afterward, clients should drink only water for the first two hours and avoid staining foods and drinks for 24 to 48 hours.

The studio also leases five private salon suites, each with free wifi, laundry, 24/7 access, ample parking, and a break room. Aftercare products are sold in the studio and online, with nationwide shipping and local pickup.

Each airbrush tan is blended to the individual client's skin tone, and the studio describes its own airbrush solutions as skin loving and ultra hydrating.
