Bubble Cuts is a family-owned kids' hair salon with three locations: Studio City at 12448 Ventura Blvd (phone (323) 593-2931), Eagle Rock at 2156 Colorado Blvd in Los Angeles (phone (323) 709-7945), and Montrose at 2315 Honolulu Ave (phone (323) 375-0859). The business says it is not a franchise. The Eagle Rock salon is the original and has been open since 2012, and all three locations offer the same services, packages and training. Visits are designed around children being comfortable in the chair. Each chair has its own screen so kids can pick what they watch, and the chairs come in themed styles, including tractors, fire trucks, unicorns, and car-shaped chairs modeled on fire trucks, police cars or convertibles. The interiors take cues from vintage-styled children's spaces, and each location has a small play area for children waiting for their turn. Every station, comb, cape and chair is cleaned between clients.

Services cover boys' and girls' haircuts for children up to age 14, including clipper fades, scissor cuts, long trims, bobs, layers, bang trims and pixie cuts, with blow-dry styling after most cuts. The First Haircut Package is for babies and toddlers from 6 months old taking their very first trim; it includes a gentle cut, a keepsake certificate with the child's name and date, a lock of hair in a pouch and a photo. Detangling is offered for curly, coily or tangled hair and is priced by level of complexity. Clients can text a photo before the visit to get an estimate, and severe tangles can be assessed this way too.

Parents can book their own cut alongside a child's appointment through Mom's Haircut or Dad's Haircut, with adult cuts including trims, lobs and layers. Pricing varies by service and child's age, with full pricing shown when booking online. Kids' scissor cuts run $40 for short hair and $45 for hair past the shoulders, both with a light blow-dry, a kids' clipper cut is $36 at Montrose, and kids' blow-dry starts at $25. Online booking is free and needs no credit card; appointments are recommended, walk-ins are welcome when space allows, and same-day appointments are often available. Each haircut is scheduled for 30 minutes. Cancellations or reschedules are free up to 4 hours before the start and are made through the link in the confirmation, and concerns about a cut are fixed free if raised before leaving or within 7 days. Tipping is optional and can be paid in cash, from an on-site ATM or added to a card payment; cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cash are accepted. Hours can change around holidays, so calling ahead is recommended.

Stylists go at each child's pace, introduce every tool before the cut begins, and take breaks as needed rather than forcing a child to sit still.
