Brows R Us was founded in 2010 by Dipali Shah, who has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. The salon says it was one of the first in Pittsburgh to offer eyebrow threading and describes itself as rated number one for threading in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Eyebrow threading removes hair from the roots with cotton thread, and a fresh strand is used for every client. A brow session takes about 5 to 7 minutes, and a full facial threading takes around twenty minutes. The salon says threading is less painful than waxing and suits all skin types, and that 90% of its threading clients have no redness or swelling afterward.

Waxing covers everything from small touch-ups to larger areas, using waxes the salon says are made with natural ingredients. According to the salon, results last 3 to 6 weeks.

The facials include a choice of herbal and natural options. Each visit starts with a skin analysis, then covers blackhead and whitehead removal, exfoliation and steam, a facial massage over the face and neck, and a mask selected for the client's skin type. Cleansing runs from forehead to chest, and the session ends with toners, protective creams and advice on home skin care.

Mehndi and henna designs are offered for weddings, festivals and other occasions. Henna is a dried herb made into a paste and applied to the skin in patterns. The salon describes the designs as lasting one to two weeks with a reddish-orange color. Bridal henna packages are available for weddings.
