Microblading is a manual, semi-permanent method. A very fine blade deposits pigment into the epidermis to create hair-like strokes. The microblading session takes about three hours, a touch-up about two hours, and a follow-up session about two hours; the follow-up has no listed price. Before the procedure, clients should not wax or tint their brows for three days, avoid alcohol for 24 to 48 hours, skip coffee, aspirin and ibuprofen beforehand, and avoid picking, tweezing, waxing or electrolysis for a week. Tanning and facials are off the table for two weeks, and retinol for a month.
Afterward, the aftercare guidance is to blot the area gently, wash the brows twice daily for the first seven days with a mild antibacterial soap, and apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment for the same period. For roughly seven to ten days, the studio advises against makeup, brow or lash tinting, sun exposure, saunas, swimming and gardening.
Waxing is done with a single-dip method so the wax is not returned to the pot, which the studio uses to avoid cross-contamination. Lip and chin waxing takes about 15 minutes, and nose hair waxing about 10 minutes.
