Bronde Culture

Bronde Culture is in Uptown Westerville and works as a booth rental salon, so each independent stylist runs a separate business under the same roof. Natalie Whitaker and Jamie Rittenour co-own the salon and also work as stylists there. Independent stylists who want to join can send a resume by email.

The salon's core work is dimensional color, blonding and extensions. A first extension appointment covers the extension hair, color, installation, a blending cut and styling. First-time extension clients pay a non-refundable retainer, set by their stylist, that goes toward the service. Extension move-ups are priced by row and usually booked every six to eight weeks, depending on the client's hair. Color for clients who already wear extensions is priced by what the visit needs.

Pricing is set by each stylist based on skill and experience. Stand-alone color is priced after a consultation with the stylist. Cancellation and no-show rules differ by stylist, so clients should check each stylist's booking site. Extension hair and services are not refundable.

Visits include towel service, wifi and TV access, and complimentary backbar products. Clients enter through a secure key code system. A spacious breakroom and a snack, coffee and beverage bar are available. For extension care, the salon recommends sulfate-free professional hair care, advises keeping extensions away from sunscreen because sunscreen can cause permanent discoloration, and suggests using purple shampoo no more than once a week.

Stylists commit to ongoing education, and the salon describes its experience as personal and above the standard.
