The basic cosmetology program is 1250 hours and covers cutting, styling, coloring, manicuring, pedicuring, facials, shampooing, permanent waving, chemical relaxing, business management, and state board rules. Students get two mock exams and regular test prep for the state exam. Full-time study is 35 hours a week over 40 weeks, and part-time is 22.5 hours a week over 62 weeks, both on weekday daytime schedules since no evening classes are offered. Tuition is $15,625 and the total cost is $18,765, including a tool kit, books, and required fees. The cosmetology tool kit includes shears, a CHI dryer and flat iron, a Marcel curling iron, clippers, and mannequins.

Other programs include a 600-hour esthetician course covering skin anatomy, facials, non-permanent hair removal, skin analysis, and makeup, with a total cost of $8,870; a 600-hour manicurist course covering gel applications, acrylics, nail structure, nail art, and waxing, with a total cost of $8,733; a 1250-hour barbering course on Pivot Point curriculum covering cutting, styling, shaving, beard design, chemical relaxing, perms, and hair coloring, with a total cost of $18,765 and credit for prior cosmetology hours; and a 600-hour master instructor course for licensed Oklahoma cosmetologists, barbers, manicurists, or estheticians who want to teach, with a total cost of $8,915.

The student salon is open Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, and services are performed by students under licensed instructor supervision. Listed prices start at $9 for a haircut with shampoo, $20 for a plain facial, $30 for a facial with machine, $30 for permanent waves, and $8 to $38 or more for waxing. Some services may take extra time or products, which could change the final price. Tips typically run 10 to 20 percent based on satisfaction. Seniors 62 and older receive 20 percent off, and the salon offers a 10-day guarantee on chemical services and a 3-day guarantee on artificial nails. Waxing may carry a trimming fee when hair is longer than half an inch.

Admission requires being at least 16 with a high school diploma, GED, home school diploma with transcript, or equivalent foreign diploma. Financial aid options are available, including Pell Grants, Direct Student Loans, and scholarships for those who qualify, and the school is approved for VA education benefits. The school does not guarantee jobs or salaries, but it helps graduates identify opportunities, and employers visit campus to speak with students. Licensed graduates may qualify for tuition reductions and credit transfers toward a National American University degree.

Training follows the Pivot Point curriculum, which combines hands-on technical skill with business knowledge for high-end salon and spa work. Students build skills on mannequins before working on real clients in the student salon.
