Braids Ocean is located on South Dairy Ashford Road in Houston. The suite number is not published on the listing; clients receive it in the confirmation email once an appointment is confirmed.

The salon's menu is built around braiding. Listed braid styles include boho braids, box braids, feed-in braids, goddess knotless braids, knotless braids and Lemonde braids. Alongside these are locs, microlocs worked into natural hair, miracle knots, natural hair styles and twists, plus separate appointments for touch-ups and take-downs.

Hair is included in the price of every service, so clients do not need to supply their own. Clients who want a style that is not on the model new style selection can send a request for it through direct message, and the salon handles all inquiries that way.

Booking begins with a non-refundable deposit paid through the website, which goes toward the service fee. The remaining balance can be paid in cash or by Zelle. Photos and videos are taken once the hair is finished.

Clients are asked to plan around their schedule. Appointments can be cancelled through the scheduling link at least 72 hours ahead, and the deposit then carries over to a future booking. Cancelling later than that requires a new deposit to rebook. Arriving 30 minutes late adds a $20 fee, and arriving 50 minutes late cancels the appointment.

Hair must be clean on the day of the visit, and clients should avoid using oil in their hair beforehand. If hair is not clean, the stylist may refuse service, the appointment is cancelled and the deposit is not returned. The hairstyle must be chosen when booking because it cannot be changed on the day. Same-day or emergency squeeze-ins can be requested by direct message for an added $50 fee on the original bill.
