Braidifye Hair Studio

Braidifye Hair Studio is a braiding studio in Matthews, serving women and men with knotless braids, classic box braids, twists, loc services and stitch braids. The owner and founder, who has more than 10 years of experience, leads the studio's hands-on classes.

Locs begin with a consultation, which costs $20 and is required for loc clients. It must be booked through the studio's website. Between full appointments, a post-24 hour touch-up covers minor maintenance on up to 10 braids; it does not cover a full touch-up.

Hair is included in braid services for shades 1, 1B, 2, 4, 27, 30 and 613, except for sew-in styles. Shampoo is complimentary and must be selected at booking. Hair needs to be fully detangled before the appointment or an extra $30 applies.

Booking requires a nonrefundable deposit that is applied to the final cost. The remaining balance is collected halfway through the service by card or tap; cash is not accepted for it, though cash tips are. Bookings open on the third Sunday of the month before the appointment month.

Cancellations or changes need at least 72 hours' notice, otherwise 50% of the service is charged, as are same-day cancellations and no-shows. Arriving more than 15 minutes late adds a $15 charge. Clients must be 13 or older, and children are not allowed in the studio during appointments. Services are nonrefundable once started or completed.
