Braid Galaxy

Braid Galaxy is a studio in McDonough, Georgia, that was established in 2021 and focuses on braided hairstyles for children. The studio describes its styles as unique and vibrant, with an emphasis on letting each child's individuality and creativity come through in the design.

Quickweave options are a closure at $120, a flip over at $99, a natural finish at $99 and a leave-out at $99. If a child's hair needs detangling before the appointment, an extra $40 fee applies.

Before a visit, hair needs to be clean, freshly washed, detangled from roots to ends and blown out straight, with no products, oils or grease. Children should have eaten beforehand. Only the child is allowed in the appointment, so parents and other guests are asked to wait elsewhere. Deposits are paid through Cash App or Apple Pay. Appointments are subject to a $15 late fee after 10 minutes, and are canceled after 20 minutes. A deposit can be applied to a rescheduled appointment if the change is made at least 24 hours ahead. The studio notes that tantrums, including kicking and screaming, are not tolerated, and that the appointment is forfeited along with the deposit in that case.
