Braid Essentials was founded by Eboni, a braider who worked with clients for years before starting the business. She noticed that healthy hair care under protective styles was rarely taught, and the business was created to raise the standard of protective styling.

Services fall under Hair services and include braid install hair prep, braid removal, natural braid styles without extensions, two strand twists, crochet, wig braid down, natural hairstyles and hair care maintenance. Scalp care is offered alongside braid prep and product systems.

Education is a separate strand. Professional braid classes teach the PROTECT System, a seven-step framework for protective styling, and stylists can become certified through them.
