BR Electrolysis

BR Electrolysis is a small electrolysis practice run by its owner and electrologist, Bear. The studio welcomes anyone seeking permanent hair removal and focuses especially on trans masculine clients. New clients are being accepted.

Electrolysis treats one hair follicle at a time and works on all skin tones and hair colors, including blonde, red, gray, and white hair. Because hair grows in cycles, permanent clearance takes a series of appointments. The timeline depends on the area, the amount and type of hair, any earlier removal methods, and how regularly a client attends.

Booking starts with a free 15-minute phone call to talk through hair removal goals, the treatment area, hair growth and removal history, and any questions about getting started. The first in-person visit is a 60-minute appointment that is required for all new clients and costs $60. It includes a review of health history, a discussion of goals and expectations, a skin assessment, a treatment timeline, and a sample treatment to see how the skin tolerates it. Ongoing face and body sessions are offered in 30-minute ($75), 45-minute ($100), and 60-minute ($120) lengths. A 60-minute session for surgery preparation or Brazilian electrolysis is $140.

For vaginoplasty preparation, the studio recommends starting electrolysis at least 12 months before the procedure. Clients preparing for surgery should bring the surgeon's hair-removal instructions or template, since the surgeon decides which areas need clearing. Insurance may cover medically necessary electrolysis, including gender-affirming care. Clients who plan to seek reimbursement should say so at the first appointment so documentation can be discussed.

Between appointments, clients can shave or trim at home, but they are asked to avoid tweezing, waxing, threading, and using epilators. Bookings moved or cancelled on under 48 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, are billed the full session price. Any unpaid balance must be cleared before a client's next visit. Clients who feel unwell are encouraged to contact the studio as soon as they can to reschedule. Payment is taken at the time of service, in cash or by credit or debit card.

Each treatment plan starts with the client's health history, goals, and an assessment of the treated area. The studio does not assume what a client's body, transition, or desired changes should be.
