Bow Salon opened in 2019 and is owned by Juliera Simon, a cosmetologist who began taking braiding clients through online platforms, first Craigslist and later StyleSeat. The salon describes itself as a one-stop place for beauty needs and says it combines enthusiasm, creativity and a commitment to high standards in its work.

Prices depend on the style, size, length, hair type and fullness. Smaller or longer braids cost more, and human hair costs more than synthetic or kanekalon hair. Before booking, clients send a photo of the style, size and length they want by text to get pricing. A 20% deposit is due at booking and is non-refundable, and the balance is paid by cash or Zelle according to the salon's Booksy listing. The salon does not offer refunds.

Hair should be washed and blow-dried before the appointment, and tangled or oily hair does not count as washed. For clients who need it, a wash and blow-dry costs $45, and a wet blow-dry costs $30. Takedowns and hair extensions are charged separately. The salon uses sanitized and disinfected tools and has 24/7 video surveillance, and it does not tolerate rude or threatening behavior.

The salon describes its work as a blend of passion, creativity and dedication to excellence, and says it uses products it considers safe and effective.

Clients are welcomed with warmth and care, and the salon has an on-site photography studio.
