Botanic Face & Body Spa

Botanic Face & Body Spa is a small holistic spa on North Broadway in Tarrytown, offering facials, massage and Reiki energy healing. Services are by appointment only, and reception sits on the main floor while the treatment rooms are upstairs.

Facials are built on The Botanic Method, a whole-person approach to skin wellness created by Theresa Naman. Options run from dermaplaning and a purifying facial for ages 11 to 17 up to longer BOTANIC treatments. The 75-minute BOTANIC signature facial covers skin analysis, enzyme and manuka honey exfoliation, facial massage, extractions when needed, a customized mask and medical-grade oxygen infusion. BOTANIC hydro renewal pairs a tailored HydroFacial or diamond hydro microdermabrasion with LED light therapy and oxygen; according to the spa, it is safe during pregnancy. The 75-minute BOTANIC sculpt & lift is a sculpting facial that may incorporate buccal massage, hands-on sculpting, microcurrent and gentle exfoliation. The 105-minute BOTANIC luxe layers deep cleansing, exfoliation, a longer facial massage and energy devices.

Dermaplaning comes in two forms. MicroSonic dermaplaning is a 60-minute sonic vibrating exfoliation with a hydrating mask and oxygen infusion, and the spa lists it as safe for sensitive skin and prenatal use. Traditional dermaplaning is a 75-minute manual exfoliation using a sterile 10 gauge scalpel, with a hydrating mask, chill wands and oxygen infusion. The spa advises that the traditional version is not for sensitive skin or prenatal use.

Massage includes the Botanic Custom Massage and Botanic Prenatal Massage, each offered in 60 or 90 minutes. The spa describes its massage as clinically informed therapeutic bodywork aimed at releasing tension and easing discomfort, and it describes its therapists as a collective of senior therapists. Sessions take place in private rooms. Add-ons include Swedish, sports stretch, deep tissue, integrated reflexology, myofascial release, scalp massage and TMJ pressure points. Couples massage is not offered at this time, and 10-session massage packages must be used within one year of the start date.

Reiki energy healing is a 75-minute session that ends with a 15-minute Kekko massage, priced at $180. The spa presents Reiki as a complementary practice rather than a substitute for medical treatment.

Prices: BOTANIC signature is $215 with Theresa Naman and $265 otherwise; hydro renewal is $250 with her and $300 otherwise; sculpt & lift is $300 with her and $350 otherwise; luxe is $400 with her and $450 otherwise. Youth facials start at $175, and MicroSonic dermaplaning is $200. Gratuity is not included in treatment prices and can be paid by cash or card. Cards accepted include Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, along with cash, but personal checks are not accepted.

Visiting: arrive 10 minutes early and check in at reception to complete any forms. Cell phones and other devices should be switched off before entering the spa. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice; late cancellations are charged 50% of the treatment fee, and same-day cancellations are charged the full price. The space does not accommodate mobility devices, but in-home services can be arranged by contacting the spa. E-gift cards can be bought online and sent instantly, while paper gift packages are arranged by phone. Gift cards must be presented on arrival.
