Bombshell Beauty Lounge was founded by Christy, who also developed the salon's training program. Beyond hair, the salon offers nail services, threading, tinting, lashes and custom makeup. Nail services are open to clients from Haymarket, Gainesville, Bristow, Manassas and nearby Northern Virginia communities, and onsite hair and makeup travel is offered within one hour's drive of the salon.

The signature starting point is a beauty audit, a complimentary consultation Christy created. The salon says it performs beauty audits rather than ordinary consultations. A visit includes a thorough look at the client's hair, pictures of the suggested color or style, product recommendations and educational styling tips. If the service promise is not met, the salon says the service is free, and guests who are unhappy are asked to tell the front desk before leaving.

Stylists are placed at six levels so clients can choose by skill set and budget. Every stylist starts at the Artistic level regardless of prior experience and must complete the salon's training program. The salon's stated goal is a career path of growth for its team. Listed prices are starting points that vary by stylist level, availability, education and demand, and clients can request a specific stylist by name when booking. Stylists at Level 5 and above work with associates, which the salon calls a celebrity experience.

Luxury hair extensions are offered in Haymarket, including same-day installs, using the salon's own line of beaded weft extensions made from remy human hair in a range of color blends and custom shades. Extension artists are trained and certified in the Bombshell Luxe Method. Complimentary extension consultations set the number of rows, the shade match and a personalized estimate. An extension consultation requires a $25 deposit, refundable only if the appointment is attended. Weft extensions last up to 12 months with proper care, and move-ups are needed every four to six weeks.

Booking requires a credit card number and a deposit that is applied to the total on the day of service. Color consultations require a $50 non-refundable deposit. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice or 50% of the service fee is charged, and missed appointments are charged the full fee. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes early. Arriving 10 or more minutes late may shorten services or lead to a reschedule. Supervised, well-behaved children are welcome.

Each visit starts with a complimentary beauty audit, and every stylist must complete the salon's own training program regardless of experience.

The salon describes its atmosphere as unique and relaxing, and it has a massaging shampoo chair.
