Visits are by appointment only. The salon is open Monday and Wednesday from 11 AM to 8 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 8 PM, and Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM, and it is closed on weekends. Clients can book online or by calling (760) 717-8485, or email info@blushandsilkwaxing.com. Because the schedule fills quickly, clients are asked to book their next visit ahead.

Before a first waxing, hair should be allowed to grow at least two weeks, and leg hair should be about three weeks long for leg services. Clients are advised to avoid caffeine for two hours before a Brazilian. A topical numbing product called Numb-it is available, and it is said to take effect after about ten minutes.

The salon does not double-dip wax applicators, sterilizes tweezers and scissors in a hospital-grade sterilizer, covers the waxing table with paper and sanitizes the bed after each use. For the 24 hours after waxing, clients are asked to avoid friction clothing, sweaty workouts, the ocean and pools, and touching the area. Exfoliating is suggested starting one to two weeks after the service.

The salon also offers chemical peels. The TCA peel, which is listed in standard and custom-to-skin-type versions, is described as suited to dry and sensitive skin and causes medium to deep peeling. The Jessner peel is described as the strongest of the peels and is focused on acne scarring and oily skin. Peeling usually begins about 48 hours after application and typically lasts five to seven days. The peels are listed as addressing hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, acne and scarring.

The salon's approach centers on waxing with imported hard and soft wax, along with strict tool and table hygiene and aftercare guidance for clients.
