Blowout Junkie was co-founded by three sisters and operates three Chicago locations. The business says a blowout should be a necessity rather than a luxury, and its menu is built around making regular styling easy to book.

Booking is available online or by phone at each location, and clients can ask for a favorite stylist, which the salon says it will try to accommodate. Early bird appointments can be requested by phone. Hours run Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm, Saturday from 8am to 7pm, and Sunday from 8am to 6pm. The salon accepts cash, check and major credit cards. Metered street parking is available on Huron between Kingsbury and Sedgwick near River North, and a $5 garage option is listed on Madison and Ada for the West Loop location.

The core menu is blowouts, from a standard 45-minute blowout and style that includes shampoo and scalp massage, to longer extended blowouts, silk presses, and curl-focused styles such as Mermaid Waves and Retro Hollywood Waves. Services for installed extensions are priced separately, and a children's blowout is offered for ages 10 and under. Dry styling, braids, ponytails and buns, and up-dos are offered for clean, dry hair.

Smoothing treatments include a Brazilian Blowout Original option, a keratin de-frizzing treatment, and a scalp treatment. The Brazilian Blowout treatment can be customized to keep and define curls or to create a sleek, smooth finish, and the salon says it can be transitioned from Japanese straightening, relaxers or keratin treatments.

The salon's philosophy centers on making a professional blowout a regular part of routine care rather than an occasional treat. Blowouts are performed with the salon's selected products.
