The salon was opened by Anthony, who trained at Empire Beauty School and then worked at a high-end hair salon in New York City. There he developed blow-out methods aimed at longer-lasting results, including added volume for fine hair, smoothing for frizzy hair, and curls that hold for hair that resists them. He later opened Blown Away LA.

The blow-out menu runs from a kids blow-out for ages 9 and under to a classic blow-out, which takes 45 minutes and includes shampoo, conditioning and a blow-dry with hot tools. The premium blow-out takes an hour and adds a scalp massage, deep conditioning mask and steam towel. The Diamond Gloss Blowout, at one hour and fifteen minutes, uses Maria Nila Shine Gloss. A smoothing treatment with TRISSOLA is also offered.

Cuts and color are available so clients can extend the results of a weekly blow-out. Coloring covers full highlights, face framing, all over color, roots and gray coverage, color gloss and toner. Highlights are priced by consultation and take about four hours.
