Blooming Magnolia Hair Studio is a relaxed, welcoming boutique salon in Towson, led by its founder and lead stylist, Irina. The salon is on the second floor of a building on York Road and books haircuts, blowouts, color, blonding, texture and smoothing services, and bridal styling. Children and teens are also welcome, with kids' haircuts for ages 12 and under and teens booked into the standard haircut.

Color work is priced by service. Regrowth color starts at $65 and covers up to 1.5 to 2 inches of new growth. All-over color starts at $85 and applies one tone from roots to ends. Grey blending comes in two methods: a coverage method from $75 that needs root upkeep every 4 to 6 weeks, and a babylights method from $140 that weaves ultra-fine highlights through grey areas and allows longer gaps between visits. Toner or gloss can be added for $35. Corrective color, for unwanted tones, uneven color, previous color problems or a major change, requires a consultation before booking. Complimentary consultations are strongly recommended for color clients, and haircut or blow-dry services for color clients are added on. Color prices depend on hair length, thickness and how much color is used.

Blonding options range from a face-framing or money piece with 10 foils or fewer, starting at $85, to partial highlights, partial balayage, full highlights and full balayage, which start at $100, $120, $160 and $180. Partial blonding brightens the crown, top sections and sides, while full custom blonding can use custom foiling, balayage or hand-painting. Texture services include a custom perm or texture wave from $90, which adds body, volume or curl using wrapping techniques for anything from soft waves to structured curls, and a consultation is recommended before perm work. Nanoplastia, an amino-acid-based smoothing treatment starting at $250, is described by the salon as lasting up to 4 to 6 months and as eliminating frizz.

Blowout options start with an express wash and dry from $35, which skips round brush styling, flat ironing and curling. The Ultimate Blowout Experience, from $65, includes a shampoo, conditioning treatment, round brush blow-dry and custom heat styling. Bridal services include a hair trial from $95 to $200, in-salon bridal hair from $105 to $185, and on-site bridal hair from $175 to $250 or more.
