Bloom Hair Design

Bloom Hair Design opened in May 2011 and was founded by sisters Chelsey Wilkes and Jana Tillman, who are co-owners and stylists at the salon.

The salon is in Town Square at Canton Center on Marietta Highway, next to Christian Brother's Automotive, Bistro C and Anytime Fitness. The salon describes the space as calm and welcoming, with a carefully designed interior. Reception is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am to 5pm, and each stylist sets their own appointment hours. The salon suggests Google Maps or Waze for directions rather than Apple Maps on iPhone.

The team combines employee stylists with independent contractor stylists, who handle their own payments and service adjustments. Newly licensed stylists and those still training work under lead stylists or owners at the entry price point. Prices and color charges vary by stylist and depend on time, demand, supply costs, length, texture, density, technique and hair condition. Tips are not included in service prices, and checks are not accepted.

Appointment changes need 48 hours notice. Changes made with less than 24 hours notice carry a 50% late cancellation fee, and no-shows or changes made less than two hours ahead are charged the full service. Deposits of up to half the service may be requested for extensive or high-demand appointments and for clients with repeated late cancellations or no-shows. Clients who are 15 or more minutes late without contacting the salon are treated as no-shows. Children under 13 and teens ages 13 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and teens' services require the adult's agreement with the stylist. Pets are not allowed except trained service dogs.
