Bloom Electrolysis

Bloom Electrolysis is a studio focused on electrolysis hair removal, which treats hairs one at a time. It is located on Jackson Street in Hayward and says it serves Hayward and the greater Marin County area.

Treatments are grouped by area. Facial work covers the upper lip, chin, cheeks and sideburns. Body work covers the arms, underarms, legs, back and other body areas. Sensitive-area work covers the bikini line, chest and other personal areas. Sessions run 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes, priced from $55 for the shortest session to $200 for the longest.

Every new client has a 30-minute consultation, which is listed as free. Pre- and post-care instructions are given at that visit. Clients are asked not to tweeze or wax before treatment, since the hair root needs to be present, though shaving is fine. The number of sessions depends on the area, hair type and growth cycle, and most clients need several treatments.

Bookings can be made online through Vagaro, or by email, text or phone. The studio is open Monday through Friday and on Sunday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and it is closed on Saturdays. It serves women, men and all gender identities.

Each hair is treated individually: a fine probe is placed in the follicle, current is applied at the base of the hair, and the loosened hair is lifted out with tweezers. Most clients describe the feeling as mild heat or tingling.
