The salon is open seven days a week from 9am to 7pm. New guests book their first visit by phone at 919.484.8600, and returning guests can book online. Before a first visit, guests can submit a selfie of their current look along with their goals to receive a stylist recommendation. The concierge page lets guests search designers by name, level, certification, experience, color and design. The salon describes itself as busy, with a social feel among guests, designers and team members. Designers may collaborate in real time on a guest's look.

Color is a large part of the menu. Blo uses five Redken color lines across a range of tones, shades and opacities. Contrast, meaning highlighting and lowlighting, appears in many color services, and Multi-Dimension combines a base color with contrast so the guest can choose the palette. Men can ask for Redken Color Camo, a color designed to camouflage gray. Keratin Complex is a customizable smoothing treatment that the salon says reduces frizz, improves manageability, repairs damage and softens hair.

Hand Tied Extensions use the HABIT method, and Thicken, Lengthen or Both adds length and thickness in a matter of hours. Extension pricing covers everything from the consultation through removal, with an $80 consultation fee applied to the service. Bridal Packages include a required trial run and the wedding-day service, with a travel hairspray; the trial is recommended on the same day as portraits, and the salon says it is used to serving bridal parties of all sizes. Special Occasions styling covers events such as homecoming, prom and nights out. Waxing uses Cirepil, which the salon describes as a natural, low-temperature wax that grips hair rather than skin. Policies include a fee of 100 percent of the value for no-shows, a 50 percent fee for cancellations within 24 hours, rescheduling for arrivals 15 minutes or more late, and no gratuity added to credit card payments.

Designers get to know each guest's goals and tailor the service to that person, and they may work together in real time on a look.
