BLK BMR Skin Bar is a facial studio in Albuquerque built around a science-led approach to Korean skincare. The owner, Seema Gupta, is a microbiologist and licensed esthetician who creates and performs the signature Korean Glass Skin Ritual.

Facials begin with barrier repair, hydration and comfort, and ingredients are added one at a time. Customized serums can be chosen during the visit from options that include tranexamic acid, peptides, cica, azelaic acid and niacinamide. The studio serves all skin tones and focuses on mature skin, hyperpigmentation and skin of color.

The menu ranges from a 60-minute Korean Glass Skin Ritual, which pairs a double cleanse, exfoliation, custom serums, oxygen infusion, a mask, LED and massage with lymphatic sculpting and a detailed skin assessment, to The Works, a 75-minute facial where clients choose a GLOW, CLEAR or PLUMP focus. Cosmetic microchanneling for the face, neck and décolleté is a separate service that uses Procell MD tips, followed by a PDRN serum mask and an ice globe massage. The studio also offers back treatments, a 60-minute full body ritual and a 45-minute ayurvedic-inspired glow treatment.

New clients have a consultation before their first appointment and pay a deposit when booking, which is applied to the service. Appointments are booked online through Vagaro, and the studio lists hours of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM every day. The salon says that Procell has won Aesthetician's Choice Awards again.
