Blissful Roots is a Deale spa built around head spa experiences, with foot soaks, reflexology and massage chair sessions alongside a range of hair services for women and girls.

Booking is by appointment only. Clients phone or text the studio to schedule a visit or to pick up a gift certificate. It is open Monday and Wednesday from 9 AM to 8 PM, Friday through Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM, and closed on Tuesday and Thursday.

Head spa experiences start with a scalp analysis and continue with waterfall therapy, deep cleansing, and scalp massage and scrubbing using a variety of tools. Conditioning and a steamer follow, then a massage of the shoulders, neck and arms with hot towels. Each visit ends with a towel dry and brush out. Pricing depends on hair length, with separate experiences for short hair (chin-level or shorter), medium hair (above the shoulders) and long hair (past the shoulders). Head spa visits are not recommended within a week before or after a chemical service.

Foot soaks take place in massage chairs, with tea or water served during an essential oil soak or an ionic detox, and up to two people can be served at a time. Reflexology applies pressure to specific points on the feet and is offered in 30 or 60 minute sessions, with the longer one including a 20 minute foot soak. Massage chair sessions are done fully clothed in a zero gravity ergonomic chair and come with a hot tea, coffee or bottled water.

Hair services include women's cuts, which include a shampoo, conditioning, a customized cut and a blow-dry, and haircuts for girls aged 10 and under. Shampoo and blowouts, curling or flat iron add-ons, and a styling add-on for head spa visits are also available. The strands last a few days to a few weeks and fall out as hair sheds. Extra charges may apply for length or thickness.

Rescheduling needs 48 hours' notice. With less notice, half of the scheduled service is charged, and with less than 24 hours' notice the full service is charged to the card on file. Venmo, Zelle, cash and credit cards are accepted.
