The owner, Dawn Finlayson, has been in Idyllwild's hair business for a long time. She, her husband Keith and their son Kyle ran Village Hair Creations, an Aveda concept salon in Idyllwild, for more than twenty years. The business later spent about thirteen years in Palm Desert before it returned to Idyllwild in late 2024.
Since the move back, the salon has combined hair care with wellness-focused services, and Idyllwild practitioners who focus on wellness work out of the space alongside the hair services.
