Blink & Slay Beauty operates as a one-on-one studio, with services booked by appointment only. It occupies suite 126 at The Modern Salon Studios, 8000 E Quincy Ave. Because the entrance is kept locked, visitors send a text on arrival and the owner comes to the door. The atmosphere is hushed, and music or podcasts typically play unless a guest requests something else.

The studio's guiding idea is that healthy natural lashes and healthy skin come before anything else. The owner will say so when a requested service could damage natural lashes or the skin barrier, and will suggest a gentler option instead. Clients travel in from Denver, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch and Centennial.

Lash work covers classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume full sets, plus fills timed to how many days have passed since the last appointment and how much of the set remains. Clients coming from another artist can book a Foreign Fill, which removes any unsafe extensions before the new set goes on. Lash lifts with a tint and professional extension removal are also offered.

Skin services include facials built around specific concerns, such as an acne series, a rosacea facial and a customized facial that starts with examining the skin. Chemical peels range from a single session to six-peel series for acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and visible signs of aging. Other options include diamond-tip microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, microneedling, and Celluma LED light therapy as a standalone or add-on treatment. Waxing and brow services round out the menu.

Visits are for one client at a time, so guests and children are not permitted. Clients are asked to arrive with clean lashes and no mascara or eye makeup, and to skip caffeine beforehand. Arriving more than 15 minutes late results in the appointment being rescheduled and charged as a late cancellation. Bookings, availability, deposits and cancellation terms are handled through Square, which requires a card to book. Clients may decline photos or video for social media and the portfolio without affecting their appointment.

Healthy natural lashes and healthy skin come first, and treatments are chosen with the client's skin and lashes in mind rather than by default.
