Blended Beauty has been run by owner Kimberly Joseph since December 2015. The Concord studio covers a wide range of work, from braids, twists and locs to color, cuts, extensions and wigs, along with makeup, lashes, facial waxing and grooming for men.
Consultations are recommended before a first booking so the stylist can suggest the right service. Braid, extension and wig work is customized after a consultation, and that fee is applied toward the service. Beauty and makeup consultations work the same way. Color consultations are held in person, and chemical services are limited to established clients.
Appointments are booked online with a calculated deposit. The salon serves clients of all ethnicities, hair textures and skin types. It is listed as LGBTQIA friendly and kid friendly, and it offers free parking, disabled access, a snack bar, beer and wine, TV and WiFi. Guests who are not being serviced wait outside, except a parent with a minor.
Beyond the chair, the business runs one-on-one everyday or glam classes of 120 minutes starting at $125, held in person or by video call. It also offers shopping trips to build a beauty kit starting at $120, and girls night or day beauty parties for four to twelve guests with a three-hour minimum and six-hour maximum.
Mobile work includes house calls with a travel fee starting at $50, covering travel up to 30 minutes one way and requiring three days notice. Photoshoot makeup and wedding services, including bridal party hair and makeup, are also offered on location.
The salon recommends a consultation before booking to get a professional recommendation, and it serves clients of all ethnicities, hair textures and skin types.
