Blades Salon & Spa opened its first location in September 2013 and describes itself as the largest salon in its area. Owner Lindsay Monk set out to bring a more upscale experience to a small town while keeping the community feel. Hair, nail, skin, aesthetic and wellness services all sit under one roof, and the team is chosen for both talent and the environment they help create.

Balayage, blonding and extensions are among the most requested services. Scalp therapy begins with a professional scalp analysis and a personalized treatment plan, addressing thinning, shedding, dandruff and itching, and hair loss treatments are also offered. Facials and skincare, Botox, microblading, magnetic tattoo removal and customized spray tans round out the menu.

Bridal parties can book hair and styling for the wedding day. Brides review and sign the bridal contract, which covers availability, pricing structure, deposits and policies, before checking dates, and consultations are by appointment with a non-refundable deposit. Customized service prices vary by length, density, technique or treatment plan, so clients can book a consultation with the team member who offers the service or review the full menu. Payment plans through Cherry let clients pay monthly for health, beauty and wellness services.

Club Her is a sister brand under the same roof at Suite A. It is a gym and wellness space designed for women, and it operates independently with its own services. It offers a full service gym, tanning bed, sauna, wellness pod, red light therapy, one-on-one training and customized meal plans. Monthly memberships are listed at 35 and 45 dollars, a six-month membership is listed at 210 dollars billed up front, and day passes are listed at 15 and 25 dollars. Gym-only access includes the gym, tanning and sauna, and staffed hours are Monday to Friday 10 AM to 6 PM, with gym access listed as 24 hours.

The salon also rents booths and offers commission stylist positions, and an open suite is available for a lash tech, tattoo artist, barber or anyone wanting a private room. The salon is open Monday to Friday 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM, and is closed Sunday.
