BIVA says its story began in 2015 and now runs two studios in Burbank. The lash and brow studio on North Cordova Street is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 5:15pm, and clients are asked to text rather than call because staff are often with clients. The head spa on West Magnolia Boulevard keeps the same days with longer hours, from 9:30am to 8:30pm.

Lash work centers on extension sets in Classic, Hybrid, Natural Volume and LED styles. Full Classic sets are listed at $159 with refills at $89, Hybrid full sets at $189 with refills at $99, and Natural Volume full sets at $209 or $249 with refills at $109 or $125. LED sets carry an additional $30 according to the salon and use a 405nm lamp with a hypoallergenic adhesive, and first-time LED clients receive two complimentary LED upgrades. Every lash service starts with a consultation that looks at facial features, eye shape and lash condition. Refills need to fall within 3 weeks and keep at least 30 percent of existing lashes, otherwise they are charged as a full set. Lashes placed by another salon are not refilled here and must be fully removed first, though clients who keep them can book a New Set at the New Set price.

Brow services include shaping with waxing, tweezing, trimming and an optional fill-in, with makeup included, listed at $49. Brow lamination at $129 lifts and sets brows into a fuller shape for 6 to 8 weeks, and a low-temperature wax imported from Korea is listed at $25. A tint add-on is available for $20. The Keratin Lash Lift, listed at $129 with a $20 tint add-on, lasts up to 12 weeks depending on hair cycle and skin type and uses eight nutrient products customized to each client.

At BIVA Hair Sanctuary the 60-minute Basic ritual is listed at $179, the 75-minute Luxe signature ritual at $189, and the 90-minute Royal ritual at $259. Rituals draw on aromatherapy, herbal infusions and scalp massage, and the Luxe ritual adds a sound bath and a Himalayan stone. A blow dry without styling or hot tools can be added for $40. Head spa services are not available to clients with hair extensions, and clients with irritation, open wounds or lice should contact the salon before booking.

Hair extensions include 1mm braid extensions made from 100 percent virgin human hair, with the listed price covering both hair and installation. They are attached with tiny braids close to the scalp, without glue or chemicals. Up to two touch-up appointments are available depending on hair and extension condition, and with proper care they typically last 2 to 3 months. Clients are asked to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.
