Birch & Co is a boutique hair salon in Owasso's Redbud district, where a group of stylists work together in a close, team-like setting. Each stylist is an independent contractor, so clients book with and pay their stylist directly, while retail product purchases go through the salon itself.

The salon says continued education is central to its success, and its aim is for every client to leave feeling beautiful and happy. Visits are by appointment only. New clients are encouraged to start with a 30-minute consultation, which costs $25, to talk through their goals and plan their color with a stylist.

Color is the core of the menu, with options from gloss and root touch-ups to balayage, foil highlights, teasylights and a Bombshell Blonde service aimed at maximum brightness and dimension. Color prices exclude haircuts and can rise with hair length, thickness, or the time or product needed.

Haircuts focus on shoulder-length and longer hair, and pixie or very short cuts are not offered. Hand-tied extensions use Harper Ellis Hair Co hair. An install begins with a pre-extension shampoo and blowout, followed by shaping, cutting and styling, and ends with a short photo session. Pricing is set at consultation based on the look wanted and hair thickness, and move-up appointments are needed every five to eight weeks.
