About

Beyond Beauty Institute was founded and incorporated under Nevada law in June 2022. Its stated mission is to produce well-trained, well-prepared graduates ready for salon work, and it describes its commitment to excellence in both the art and science of cosmetology.

The campus is a facility of more than 6,000 square feet. It includes a student salon, a nail area, a skin care department, a student lounge, classrooms, a learning resource center and offices. The school describes the space as fully equipped, with students working on current technology and equipment. Classes run on a daytime schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

The school offers five programs: Cosmetology at 1,600 clock hours, Hair Design at 1,000 clock hours, Advanced Esthetics at 900 clock hours, and Esthetics and Nail Technology at 600 clock hours each. Program length depends on the schedule chosen, with full-time, part-time and intermediate options. Tuition and fees are listed per program, and financing options run up to 18 months.

Admission involves an enrollment application, a registration fee, an interview with the admissions director and a tour of the Institute. Applicants need proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and a government-issued photo ID, and Advanced Esthetics applicants must be at least 18. The school does not admit ability-to-benefit students. Transfer of prior clock hours is reviewed case by case, with a minimum grade of 85% and up to 75% of program hours accepted, and at least 25% of any program must be completed at the Institute.

Training includes hands-on work in laundry, housekeeping and stock control. The school points out that this practical work does not make students employees. Veterans may apply GI Bill education benefits to approved programs, and the school offers guidance on those benefits. Support is available in both English and Spanish.

Education-first and focused on preparing graduates for salons and state licensing, with curriculum that the school says it updates regularly.
