Betty Lash Spa & Boutique was founded in 2006 and is owned by Azure Grillo. In 2013 it merged with a skincare clinic that had been operating since 2006, and it is now part of Summit Salon. The salon describes itself as the first eyelash extension boutique in Austin and as one of the first lash boutiques in the country.

The Central Austin location is open Monday to Thursday 9:30am to 8:30pm, Friday 9:30am to 6:30pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday noon to 6pm. The Dripping Springs location keeps shorter hours on Monday and Saturday, and is open Tuesday to Thursday 9:30am to 7:30pm, Friday 9:30am to 6:30pm and Sunday noon to 6pm. Treatments take place in private rooms, and a boutique on site sells skincare, makeup, beauty products, handbags, jewelry and gifts. Gift cards are available.

Appointments are required for all spa services and can be booked by phone at 512-327-2507 or online, where pricing and availability are shown. Clients receive a link to online paperwork when they book, and intake forms must be completed before the visit. Deposits are taken for new clients, full lash sets, facials, permanent makeup and all online bookings.

Lash extensions are made from faux mink, a blend of synthetic and silk fibers, and are offered in classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume styles. Classic sets run from 2 to 3 hours, hybrid and mega sets run 2.5 or 3 hours, and fills come in 1, 1.25 and 1.5 hour lengths. Brown extensions are available for a more natural look. Clients are asked to remove eye makeup and contacts before a visit or request a lash bath, to avoid caffeine beforehand, and to keep lashes dry for the first 24 hours. Clients with sensitive eyes are asked to call before booking so services can be adjusted.

Beyond lashes, the salon offers lash lifts using a silicone rod, curling solution and setting adhesive, which last about 6 to 8 weeks, and brow lamination that also lasts about 6 to 8 weeks, with an optional tint. Brow tweezing and brow waxing are offered for shaping and maintenance, and face and body waxing covers most areas. Facials include Coco and Champs oxygen facials, dermaplaning facials and full clinical facials for acne or anti-aging, and four Hydrafacial levels. Treatments include chemical peels, a TCA peel, a Jessner peel, microdermabrasion, vascular treatment, On-The-Go-Glow and, at the 35th Street location, microneedling with BB Glow. Semi-permanent makeup includes powder brows, which typically last 18 to 24 months, and lip blushing.

The salon says it hires providers who hold a specialty or esthetics license, have completed an apprenticeship and have 200 hours of hands-on training. Every new hire starts as an apprentice and moves up through lash training. Pricing varies by provider level, which reflects progression in the company and demand, and providers who meet requirements move up and their prices rise. The salon says all of its providers are highly trained and that quality is guaranteed no matter who a client sees. It also offers a guarantee on lash retention and says it will make things right if a client is not fully satisfied.

According to the salon, it hires providers who hold a specialty or esthetics license, have completed an apprenticeship and have 200 hours of hands-on training, then trains new hires through lash levels from the apprentice stage upward.

Treatments take place in private rooms, with a boutique on site.
