Bergamos Retreat opened in 2001 as a day spa drawing its inspiration from Bergamo, Italy. It grew in 2018, and next door it added Bistro 313, which serves Italian-style small plates on a menu that blends Texan and Italian dishes, along with wine, craft cocktails and gourmet coffee. According to the salon, it is the largest day spa in Texas and Friendswood's number one spa. The salon also states that, among US spas, only a pair, this one included, provide treatments on the Gharieni Hydrospa table.

Bergamos Retreat opened in 2001 as a day spa drawing its inspiration from Bergamo, Italy. It grew in 2018, and next door it added Bistro 313, which serves Italian-style small plates on a menu that blends Texan and Italian dishes, along with wine, craft cocktails and gourmet coffee. According to the salon, it is the largest day spa in Texas and Friendswood's number one spa. The salon also states that, among US spas, only a pair, this one included, provide treatments on the Gharieni Hydrospa table.

The treatment rooms use Gharieni equipment made in Germany, including adjustable tables with a zero-gravity position and internal heaters. The spa says its Gharieni table used for sensory massage is its most comfortable award-winning table. Facial beds and pedicure chairs are also zero gravity. The spa has 18 treatment rooms, 4 pedicure stations, 3 manicure stations, 6 hair styling stations and 2 cosmetic stations, plus private couples suites used only for Duo treatments.

Guests are asked to arrive at least 45 minutes before a spa treatment and to turn off cell phones, personal electronic devices and cameras on entering. The spa is for guests 18 and older; some treatments are open to younger guests, who may not use the locker rooms or the upstairs co-ed lounge. Robes and slippers are provided for upstairs treatments, and lockers are individually programmable digital lockers. Public areas include the Therme wellness circuit, a relaxation lounge and a silent porch.

The Therme circuit is included at no extra charge before and after well-being treatments. It has private changing rooms, an aroma steam room, a dry sauna and a heated therapy pool. The Salt Cave has walls of pink Himalayan salt bricks and hosts private experiences and group meditation sessions. The spa describes itself as team-based, with no commissions or appointment quotas.

Parties and events include private wine tasting classes for two to 25 guests, a private upstairs group suite, The Dressing Room with blow dry styles and event makeup, and the Grand Piazza Event Room, which seats up to 50 or holds up to 65 standing. Spa services are not required for room rental. Packages are described as one-day itineraries planned from start to finish. Gift cards are sold on the website, a mobile app handles booking and account access, and subscribers can receive a monthly email digest.

Cancellations need 24 hours' notice; less notice is charged 20% per service, and no-shows are charged 50%. Full-day packages and large parties may forfeit a deposit for cancellations within 48 to 72 hours.

The spa describes itself as team-based, with no commissions or appointment quotas, and says its spa and salon treatments are among the most innovative and restorative available.
