About

BELLITāTEM is a creative brand based in Falls Church, with the studio at 2775a Hartland Road in the Merrifield area. It brings together a printed magazine, a professional photo studio, and the hair and makeup business Makeup and Hair by Alina Karaman, LLC, which has served weddings, editorial and commercial clients since 2009.

Event hair and makeup is offered, and bridal trials are held at the studio so brides-to-be can meet the artists beforehand. Hair extensions are also available. The company describes its hair and makeup services as high-end.

Classes include individual hair and makeup lessons, personal makeup classes and group makeup sessions. Group paint and chill art classes are also held, and guests may bring their own drinks. Art classes can be arranged for bachelorette, birthday and team-building parties.

Portrait photography includes professional and art portraits by Alina Karaman or one of the in-house photographers. Corporate and headshot work is handled by a small group of in-house photographers, and a business headshots special is offered. Photo sessions can be booked after a hair and makeup appointment or a personal makeup class.

The studio can be rented for photoshoots, video productions, small private events, team training, educational gatherings and craft or seasonal workshops. Outside photographers can rent it to work with their own clients, with portrait shoot rates set per hour, half day or full day on a separate pricing page. Bridal parties can book small pre-bridal events such as bridal crafts, followed by a photo session on classic or custom backgrounds. Availability is checked through an online studio calendar, and quotes are provided on request once shoot details are sent.

The studio is bright and stylish, with flexible layout options.
