Belle Salon is in Germantown on Mequon Road, in a suite next to a Starbucks and a Jersey Mike's. Parking is available at the front and side of the building, with more in the back. Chevelle owns the salon, started it, and also works behind the chair as a stylist.

About

Services are by appointment only, and the salon says it never double-books. Each visit opens with a consultation about goals, hair challenges, lifestyle and upkeep, then a shampoo with hot towels, a scalp massage and a complimentary styling lesson. Services are booked a la carte, and color services do not include a haircut or style. Pricing is stated before any service, and the salon says it avoids surprises at checkout. Extra charges may apply for color bowls: $25 for a full bowl and $15 for a half bowl.

The salon's core work is dimensional color, custom cuts and bridal styling. Color menus run from a gloss to balayage combined with color. Recommended maintenance is a retouch every 4 to 6 weeks, highlights every 8 to 12 weeks, and balayage every 12 to 16 weeks or more. Haircuts are offered for all ages, including the whole family. Haircut maintenance guidance is every 4 to 6 weeks for short hair, 6 to 8 weeks for mid length and 10 to 12 weeks for long hair.

Bridal work has its own menu: a bride styling package, a bridal party styling option, a flower girl style for short hair or children aged 10 and under, and a bridal trial whose deposit goes toward the cost. On-location styling is available for parties of four or more at the getting-ready location, with travel included within 25 miles and a flat $50 per stylist beyond that. Parties of fewer than eight can book in-salon styling, and parties of eight or more can book the VIP in-salon experience, which closes the salon to the party. Bridal booking requires a non-refundable $125 deposit and a signed contract, and the salon does not provide wedding makeup but works with JP Beauty Services for it.

New guests can choose from a set of new guest haircuts and color packages, with color pricing confirmed at consultation after the technique and product are chosen. The salon uses Kevin Murphy, R&Co and Eleven Australia products, with Color Space and Oligo Calura Gloss as its primary color lines. It also sells Ergo brushes, Bio Ionic long barrel curling irons, and headbands and scrunchies made in Pewaukee.

Each visit begins with a consultation covering goals, challenges, lifestyle and maintenance. The salon's stated aim is for guests to leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and confident.

Guests have coffee, craft lattes, snacks, WiFi, laptop work desks and phone chargers available during their visit.
