Bella Red began in a space that had been run as the founder's aunt's salon for 36 years. In May 2018 it moved into a larger, remodeled location, and it now operates three salons: Bonney Lake, Federal Way, and Auburn, which is also called Lakeland Hills.

The salon states that it is a Bumble and bumble salon. Products featured on its site include Bumble and bumble, K18, LOMA and Olaplex, and it sells an exclusive Bella Red sweatshirt for $45. Olaplex and deep conditioning can be added to any service for $30 each.

Shaves are offered as well, and the salon finishes them with an alum block to help tighten and close pores. Clients can book online or call any of the three locations to reserve an appointment. The salon has four Educators on its team.

The salon aims for a consistent experience on every visit, and it treats work-life balance as a priority, so no stylist works 40 hours a week and many work at the chair only a few days a week.
