Bella Luna Salon Aurora

Bella Luna Salon was opened in 2004 by its owner, Zoë Roberts, and is run as an Aveda Concept Salon. The main salon is on South Abilene Street in Aurora, and a second location operates inside Sola Salon Studios on East Exposition Avenue.

The salon says it chooses its staff carefully for training and aims to provide guest service in a clean and safe environment. It states that it follows Aveda's mission of ethical and sustainable business practices. Hair color is Aveda's line, which the salon says is 97 to 99 percent naturally derived and is made with vegetable and mineral-based dyes and essential oils.

Adult haircuts include a stress-relieving ritual, shampoo, conditioning, a blow-dry style and a finishing touch. Spa packages run from the two-hour Express, with a Pure Focus facial, shampoo and style and a complimentary makeup application, up to the four-hour Pure Rejuvenation, which adds an Elemental Nature facial, a 60-minute massage and botanical hair therapy. Bridal services include hair and makeup for brides and bridal parties, a consultation usually held two weeks to a month before the wedding, and a bride's preparation that can be split across several days.

Booking is available online or by calling or texting the salon. Children must have child care arranged before their appointment, and phones should be kept silent during visits. Cancellations need 24 hours notice and no-shows are charged 50 percent of the scheduled service. Service complaints must be raised within three days of the visit; refunds are not given for services, but the same stylist will work to remedy the issue.
