Bella Luce Electrolysis

Bella Luce is a private studio in Pelham focused on electrolysis, which the studio presents as a method of permanent hair removal. The studio states that electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal.

Treatment areas include the face and upper lip, chin and neck, underarms and the bikini area. The studio also notes that electrolysis can be used on eyebrows, abdomen, breasts and legs. It does not offer full Brazilian or genital-area treatments, and according to its FAQ, men's private-area electrolysis is not offered at this time.

The studio offers a free consultation, and first-time clients must book one. Sessions are booked by length, with a 15-minute session at $40, a 30-minute session at $60, a 45-minute session at $80, an hour at $100, an hour and a half at $160, an hour and three-quarters at $180 and two hours at $200. Services of two hours or more require prepayment.

Dense areas are not all treated in one day, since that could risk skin damage, so treatment is spread across sessions. According to the FAQ, an average course runs about 18 to 24 months, or three to four full hair cycles, and varies by client. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours' notice incur a fee of 50% of the scheduled service.

Treatment uses the blend method, which sends high-frequency and galvanic current through a probe placed in each follicle.
