Bella Hair Solutions

Bella Hair Solutions was created in 2005 and works from inside Palma's Hair Design in Chesterland. The studio serves clients from the Greater Cleveland and Akron areas and says its hair loss solutions are state-of-the-art. Its focus is on custom-made, individually crafted hair systems rather than ready-made pieces that fit everyone the same way.

Most clients are women and children whose hair loss comes from a medical condition or a treatment. The studio also works with women who have naturally thin hair and want more length, texture or fullness, and offers hair extensions for that purpose.

A visit starts with a free consultation of roughly one to two hours in a private room, held behind closed doors. Clients are asked to bring photos of themselves and of hairstyles they are considering. The fee for a hairpiece, extensions or wig covers full fitting, custom color and texture selection, a lifestyle review, an assessment of hair loss and skin type, and a recommended solution. Pieces can be made from synthetic or human hair matched to the client's texture and color, and most are hand-tied human hair.

Turnaround is about 6-8 weeks for custom hairpieces and wigs, 3-4 weeks for semi-custom wigs, and 1-2 weeks for hair extensions. A deposit of half the total is due when the order is placed, with the balance due at application. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted. Insurance may often cover the cost, and the studio provides paperwork for clients to submit to their provider.

Each piece is custom-made and individually fitted rather than ready-made, with regular salon maintenance for pieces that stay in place.

Consultations take place in a private room at the salon, with the door closed.
