The color line is built on BLOOM ORGANICS, which the salon describes as 100% plant-based. It is made from plant pigments including henna, cassia, indigo and amla, mixed with distilled water. It does not lighten hair; it is used to blend gray, darken, gloss and enhance color. For changes beyond what BLOOM can do, the salon uses the Goldwell color system. Professional color services include touch-ups, full head color, face framing highlights, partial highlights, full head highlights and toner, and all of them include a complimentary blow-dry.
Haircuts include a shampoo, scalp massage, cut and blow-dry, and a dry, no-tension option for curly hair. Concerns about a cut or color can be raised within 7 days of the appointment. Retail products can be exchanged within 14 days of purchase for full store credit. Service packages can be bought in bulk and used at any time.
The salon is across the street from the Ocean Beach Library and Post Office, near the corner of Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Street parking on Santa Monica Ave. in business areas has a two-hour limit, while Sunset Cliffs Blvd. and the eastern stretch of Santa Monica Ave. near it have no such restriction.
