Services range from small areas such as toes, lip and chin to larger areas such as full legs, back and chest. The Brazilian wax removes all hair from the intimate area, including the buttock strip, while the bikini wax only takes away the hair that would show outside a bathing suit or underwear. The vajacial is a facial for the intimate area that combines cleansing, exfoliation, enzyme applications with steam, extractions and a mud mask, and is described as addressing dead skin, hyperpigmentation, acne and ingrown hairs there.
Before a visit, clients are asked to arrive with the area clean and dry and free of oils or lotions. Hair should be about a quarter inch long for best results, and longer hair is trimmed before waxing. Clients who are menstruating can still be waxed, though they may feel more sensitive, and the studio suggests ibuprofen for discomfort.
Skin is expected to stay smooth for about two weeks, and a follow-up appointment is usually booked every four to six weeks, though timing differs from person to person. The studio also lists certain medical treatments and skin products, including chemotherapy, diabetes treatment, retinoids and regular tanning bed use, after which clients should not be waxed.
