About

Being Luvlee is a hair care and design business run by Being Luvlee LLC. The salon is in Parkville, Maryland, and its services center on protective styles, smooth finishes and natural hair care.

Services fall into signature styling, braids and protective styles, family and youth packages, add-ons, and education. Signature appointments include silk presses, ponytails, Silk Press Experiences, natural hair styling, starter locs and loc maintenance, weaves and extension installs, and crochet installs. Braid options include knotless braids in small, medium and large sizes, box braids, feed-in braids, stitch braids, tribal and lemonade braids, and boho and island styles.

Pricing is based on time, labor, product use and customization rather than only the finished look. The base price covers standard service time and basic product use, and the price list is a general range. Add-ons, such as deep conditioning, trims, steam treatments, light detangling and repair treatments, are applied when extra time or product is needed. Some are chosen by the client and others are added by the stylist during the appointment if a required add-on was not selected at booking. The exact price is set in person after the stylist assesses the hair.

Children's services are sold as packages rather than individually. The children's menu is for children under 11, children over 11 receive full-price services, and children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. A signed consent form is needed before any child under 18 is serviced. Families can also book the Mommy and Me Experience.

Booking requires a 25% deposit applied to the service, and a credit card kept on file. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice. Accepted payments are Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and cash. Stylists select retail products to help clients keep their styles at home, and these are sold in the store. Beginners can take a braiding class, offered in private or group sessions, totaling six hours across three two-hour sessions.

Signature appointments are given extra time for care and careful execution rather than being rushed. Braids are installed with professional sectioning and parting and with attention to tension.

A calm, professional salon where services are unhurried.
