BeautyBar SGV was established in 2015, when its owners acquired an existing nail salon and gave it the current name. The owners' family had operated a nail salon in the San Gabriel Valley since the 1980s, and the business carries that history forward. It is a single location on the southwest corner of Las Tunas Drive and St. Francis Street, facing the San Gabriel Country Club. The salon's stated aim is relaxed, unhurried appointments that put guests and long-term relationships first. Nail services cover manicures, pedicures, gel and dip systems, extensions and nail art, from simple accents to custom designs. Facials use Dermalogica products, with a Dermalogica facial and a Deluxe facial. Waxing covers the face and body, and eyelash lifts and tints are also offered.
Booking can be done online at any hour, by text at any time, or by phone during business hours. Clients may request a preferred artist and the salon says it will match them whenever possible. First-time guests may be asked for a 50% deposit to hold a spot, and guests who miss an appointment without notice may be asked for one before their next booking. Appointments are held for 10 minutes past their start time. Walk-ins are not accepted, and phone calls are not taken during services.
The salon offers Community and Unlimited memberships, and 6-pack and 12-pack options as an alternative. Community members receive members-only pricing, priority booking for favorite time slots and member events. The Unlimited membership allows unlimited visits for preferred services with first-in-line booking, and enrollment is capped with a waitlist once spots fill. Card payments carry no fee, and paying in cash earns 5% back. Promotions and discounts are not combined with one another.

The salon describes itself as a sanctuary, and two friendly Shih Tzus roam the space.
