Beauty Marked Lakeland

Beauty Marked grew out of a concept that owner Crystal Joseph-Cobb first conceived in 2009. It started as a effort to build a team of artists and stylists, and today the team numbers more than 25 artists based across Florida. Clients can book at the Tampa, Lakeland or Jacksonville studio, or have the team come to them on location in Florida and Georgia.

Bridal work is a core part of the business. Hair and makeup are offered for the bride and her bridal party, and the team has close to a decade of experience serving weddings in Central Florida. Bridal specialists average five to seven years in the field, and master-level artists have more than ten years in the industry. The business says it has worked on more than 1,000 weddings and special events combined. South Asian bridal service covers the events leading up to the wedding celebration, with looks that range from subtle, simple romantic styles to bright, bold makeup.

Outside of bridal work, the studio also does makeup and hair for engagement shoots, maternity sessions, occasions that call for a special look, and beauty campaigns. It runs a creative arm for companies too, planning styled photo shoots from start to finish: developing the concept, building the set, choosing models or influencers, and styling wardrobe. Past clients for these shoots include The Cake Drip, Paradeco Coffee, Hippo Gourmet Ice Pops, Hotel Haya, Onda and A Haley Boutique. Beauty Marked is also behind The Mark, a digital magazine aimed at women that covers beauty, style, health and wellness, the arts, business, branding and entrepreneurship.
