The salon uses a framework it calls The Mirror Edit, built on eight core pillars that it applies in every service. Stylists are trained in listening, honesty and reading what each client needs, alongside color and extension skills. The Mirror Edit Workshop is taught at the salon and is also offered to professional stylists, who can request it to be held at their own salon.

Beauty Hive's extension work centers on two methods. Habit Hand Tied sets thin wefts onto a beaded row, secured without tape or glue. Unseen uses concealed beads and careful weft placement to create a seamless blend. According to the salon, it was the first provider in the Dallas-Fort Worth area trained in Habit Hand Tied, and its stylists were taught by Habit Salon to fit extensions with minimal impact on natural hair. Each booking covers the hair itself, the fitting, tinting the extension hair to a custom shade, and trimming it so it blends in. Extensions can add volume, length or an entirely new look. The salon recommends one to three rows, settled at a consultation booked by calling 682-704-5115. Maintenance is needed every six to eight weeks, and with proper home care the install lasts about five to six months. The salon does not fit hair sourced from elsewhere and advises avoiding pools, oceans and hot tubs while wearing extensions.

Visits are by appointment. The salon asks for 48 hours notice for cancellations or changes, and a $25 rebooking fee applies to late cancellations and reschedules. Guests who no-show cannot book future reservations. Services are not refundable, though unused products can be exchanged if they were used minimally by the next service. Guests should know that the salon does not allow guests in the salon, including children.
