Beauty Designer J works from Suite 205 inside Aura Studio at 7800 Commonwealth Avenue in Buena Park. Alongside its beauty services, the brand runs in-person and online training for people interested in the field and sells its own products.

Services cover lip blushing, scalp painting, SMP, lash enhancement, soft Korean style brows, lips and scalp painting, and The Melanin Care. Bookings are organized into consultations, student model appointments, training, skin care, PMU lips, brows and lash enhancement, touch-ups and MoriTint. Touch-up work is needed within about 10 weeks to reach the final result and is priced separately. Brows look darker right after the procedure and are expected to lighten by 30 to 50 percent.

Training is the other half of the business. The MoriTint in-person course is listed at $2,400, with a group rate of $2,100 per student for up to four participants. The Melanin Care course is listed at $2,200. The Works course, covering lips and scalp, is $2,800, and the Total Beauty Course, covering lips, MoriTint and Melanin Care, is $3,800. Online options include a MoriTint course listed at $350, on sale from $450, and a Melanin US course listed at $400, on sale from $500. Students who finish a course receive a certification and may become official MoriTint Team Members after signing an agreement. Training models must have virgin brows, lips or scalp, and students must be 18 or older and hold a valid Blood Borne Pathogens certification before working on a live model.

Booking policies: a non-refundable deposit reserves an appointment and is added to the final price, with no deposit meaning no appointment. Clients who arrive 15 minutes or more late have their appointment cancelled. Rescheduling needs three days' notice, and one reschedule is allowed with the deposit moved to a new date within one month. Guests and pets are not permitted. Prices can change at any time, and results are not guaranteed, since they vary with aftercare, skin, age, lifestyle and bone structure.
