BEAUTEBYALEX is a studio in Suite 203 on Brockton Avenue in Riverside. Waxing is the core of the menu, covering the face, body, legs, arms, underarms and intimate areas. The business's portfolio calls the Brazilian wax its most popular service.
Brazilian waxing comes in several forms: a standard full Brazilian that includes the buttocks and a belly strip, a Friday rate that adds a free underarm wax, and package or combined bookings that pair it with underarms or half or full legs. A cooling Jelly Mask can be added after a Brazilian.
Brow work covers waxing, tinting, lamination, and any mix of these. Tint color fades in roughly 5 to 10 days on the skin and can last up to 4 weeks on the hair, with the exact timing shaped by skin type and how the client looks after the brows. An optional allergy patch test can be done before a tint. Lamination combs brow hairs into a neater, more defined arch and requires 4 to 6 weeks of growth since the last tweezing, threading, shaving or waxing. Clients who had a tint within the past 3 weeks can book a tint touch-up.
Skin-lightening treatments cover underarms, behind the neck, the anal area and the Brazilian area, booked as single sessions or as three-session series. Hair must be absent from the treated area. Clients may shave at home, though the business does not recommend it, and anal bleaching requires hair removal with a wax available as an add-on. One to two sessions per week are recommended for anal bleaching. Aftercare products are sold in the studio.
Services are by appointment only, and the business is accepting new clients. Hours vary by day, with the studio closed on Tuesdays and Sundays. A credit card must be saved to approve a booking, and a non-refundable deposit is due when booking, with amounts that depend on the service. Changes need at least 48 hours notice. Changes or cancellations within 48 hours may be charged 50%, and cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are charged in full. Arriving 10 minutes or more late may lead to cancellation with a full charge, so late clients should text or email ahead. No guests are permitted in the treatment room. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.
