Be Relax Spa
Spa · 18 locations
Be Relax Spa was founded in 2003 by two French brothers. Co-founder Frederic Briest came up with the idea while travelling as a student, when a long multi-flight trip showed him how many similar duty-free shops filled airports. The business began with a kiosk at Paris CDG in 2004 and opened its first spa there in 2007. Its first US locations followed in Boston and Baltimore in 2011, and its first Middle East location opened at Dubai Airport in 2013. A Singapore location opened in 2016, followed by Doha in 2017 and Atlanta in 2022. The Abu Dhabi spa, opened in 2024 with Etihad Airways, sits inside an airline business class lounge at Terminal A.

The business says it operates more than 30 spas across 14 cities on three continents, and describes itself as the largest airport spa chain in the world. Its stated mission is to give travellers accessible relaxation options at airports.
A visit starts after security, and access requires a valid boarding pass. On US domestic flights, spa access upon arrival is available, while international flights in North America, the Middle East and Asia are limited to the departure area. Transit passengers in the same terminal, or in airports with interconnected terminals, can use the facilities. Appointments are not required, though booking ahead is recommended for a preferred time slot. Advance booking is optional, and the site gives different lead times in different places, from 12 hours to 24 hours, so it is worth confirming when you book. Several treatments can be chosen for one visit. Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or cash in the local currency, and checks and Apple Pay are not accepted.
The massage menu is the core of the business, with chair massages, deep tissue table work and lounger massages. Products are sold too, including travel pillows, travel accessories, massage devices and beauty devices. The business also runs Be Relax Academy, set up in 2022 to train employees such as massage therapists, cosmetologists and nail technicians, and to prepare people for supervisory and airport spa management roles.
Built around accessible relaxation for travellers, with stated values of service, excellence, accessibility and trust.
The spas aim for a warm feel, with calming colours, relaxing sounds and fragrances.
