Bay Area Salon is owned and operated by Paula Wyche and was recently expanded, which added two new hair stylist stations. The salon describes itself as nice and clean.

The salon is at 223 Flamingo Drive, to the left of the Apollo Beach Post Office. Clients can come in through the front, or drive around to the rear parking area and enter through the back. Clients are asked to park facing the fence and leave room in the lot for others. Hair cosmetology is open Tuesday through Friday and on Saturday morning and early afternoon, and the salon is closed to hair appointments on Sundays and Mondays.

Walk-ins are welcome, but most of the business runs by appointment, and the hair stylists suggest calling or texting the salon to book. Estheticians and massage therapists book throughout the week and may also be available on Sundays and Mondays by appointment. Hair is washed with every cut unless the client asks otherwise, and the salon states that its satisfaction is guaranteed. Shampoo and conditioner are sold retail.

Body care services are listed as coming soon. The salon says its massage therapists are the best in the area, a claim it makes about itself.
