The spa takes its name from the heated basalt stones used in its services. It describes itself as wellness-focused and says its treatments are customized for both body and mind.
A visit takes place in one of five private, individual treatment rooms, along with a relaxation room. The spa does not have a sauna, steam room or pool. Clients are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their start time. Couples and groups can book appointments at the same time, though side-by-side couples massage in one room is not offered. Parking is available on 900 South, in the Milk Block lot and on nearby residential streets. Hours are 10am to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 6pm on weekends.
The boutique stocks skincare, body care, makeup, jewelry, home fragrance and gift items, and the spa will put together custom gift boxes at a range of budgets. The spa is also hiring massage therapists, estheticians and front-desk or spa attendants, with resumes sent to info@basaltdayspa.com.
Treatments are customized to the body and mind, with a wellness focus.
