Bare Wax Studio is a waxing studio at 451 South Main Street in Fort Worth, located inside Cachet salon and spa. Noemi owns the studio and does the waxing herself. Before opening it, she managed and trained staff at a salon for several years.
Appointments are the way in: walk-ins are not accepted, so clients book, join a waitlist, or send an appointment request. A card must be kept on file to book, but it is not charged at booking. Cash, Zelle, Venmo and Apple Pay are accepted, and card payments carry a 2.6 processing fee. Clients have a 7-minute grace period and should contact the studio if they are running late. Children are not allowed in the treatment room or left unattended in the lobby. Parking is available in Cachet-designated spots, on the street, or in an overflow lot across the building.
Before a first appointment, clients are asked to let hair grow at least two weeks after shaving and not trim it beforehand. The week before, they should exfoliate at least three times, moisturize daily with a lightweight oil, wear loose cotton clothing, and avoid caffeine on the day. Afterward, clients should avoid touching the area for 24 to 48 hours, and avoid intercourse, the gym, saunas, tanning and exfoliating. Facial services and underarms are recommended every two to three weeks, while Brazilian services and larger areas such as arms and legs are recommended every four to five weeks. Skipping a month is not harmful, though hair can be more uncomfortable to remove and results may vary.
Waxing is built around preparation before a first visit and steady upkeep between appointments. Ingrown hairs are reviewed through a skin consultation at the next visit, and the studio points to lack of exfoliation as the most common cause.
